Frequently Asked Questions
Is there an installation charge?
There is usually a small charge levied,
although with more complicated and difficult
installs, a custom quotation will
occasionally be negotiated.
Does the unit have to be located in the
kitchen?
No. The key to locating the machine is
whether there is a mains supply with
sufficient water pressure within a
reasonable distance. This could be the case
for many locations within the premises.
How do payments work?
Payment is made annually in advance for the
unit rental. The rental cost is inclusive of
all servicing & maintenance charges, as well
as the six-monthly filter changes.
Therefore, one annual payment will take care
of all costs for the year. However, if there
is a specific business reason why this is
unworkable, three- or six-monthly schedules
can be considered, although extra charges
will be made to cover the additional
administration required
Isn’t the water simply tap water?
No. Although the water source is the mains
supply, it is fed through an advanced
filtration system, using a high-grade type C
Everpure filter, which removes impurities as
small as 0.5 micron and eliminates all
off-tastes and odours such as chlorine.
Additionally, the water is run through a
cooling system, guaranteeing fresh, chilled
water every time.
What level of filtration do you use?
Unlike many of our competitors, Aqua Filter
supply as standard a high-grade type C
Everpure filter, which removes impurities as
small as 0.5 micron and eliminates all
off-tastes and odours such as chlorine.
How often do we need to change the filters?
Filter changes are recommended every six
months. However, Aqua Filter carry out this
service for you and the charge is inclusive
within the rental of the unit. Additionally,
Aqua Filter will automatically schedule these
visits so that you do not need to remember.
What does the installation involve and how
long does it take?
This is entirely dependent upon where your
mains supply is and where you want the unit(s)
located. The unit must be connected to the
mains and this can often be a simple case of
running a short length of tubing from
the machine to the easiest accessible point.
Occasionally, there may be obstacles such as
walls and units to negotiate, and
consequently tubing may have to be run some
distance. However, our experienced
installation engineers will know how best to
make the installation with the minimum of
mess and fuss, ensuring that any tubing is
both unobtrusive and Health & Safety
compliant.
If there is a problem, how much is the
call-out/service charge?
Providing there is no suggestion of
malicious damage to the system, there will
be no charge for any ongoing maintenance or call-outs.
Do you supply cups for use with the machine?
Yes. Aqua Filter can offer a choice of 7oz
plastic cups, as well as 4oz paper cones.
These can be delivered to your door as and
when required.
Why should I switch from my bottled cooler?
There are various reasons why a plumbed-in
unit can offer superior benefits to
bottle-fed machines. These can include
potentially large savings, as costs do not
increase with usage, precise and accurate
budgeting, no large, heavy bottles to lift
or store, no backlog of empty bottles
creating potential hazards in the workplace,
no missed or delayed water deliveries, and a
constant supply of water, ensuring that you
never run out during times of peak demand.
Do I have to remember to keep the cooler
serviced?
No. The date of your six-monthly service and
filter change is entered into Aqua Filter’s
database and automatically scheduled, thus
taking the responsibility and concern away
from the customer.
